For the bot to work in a channel — publish scheduled posts, auto-delete messages, and so on — it must be an administrator. This takes a minute.
1. Open the channel settings
- Go to the channel and tap its name at the top.
- Tap "Edit" (the pencil icon) and open the "Administrators" section.
2. Add the bot as an administrator
- Tap "Add Admin".
- Find the bot by its name "@ModAssistantBot" (or "ModAssistantBot" without spaces) and select it.
3. Grant the rights and save
- Enable the rights the bot needs — see the article "How to enable the bot's rights in a channel?" for which ones.
- Tap the checkmark / "Done" to save.
Important: without administrator rights the bot can't post or manage messages — channel features won't work.
Done — the bot is now an administrator of your channel.
