Types of spam
- Promotional blasts — links to third-party channels and products.
- Scam and phishing — fake "giveaways", impersonation bots, data harvesting.
- Flood and emoji spam — junk messages that drown conversation.
- Entry spam — bots joining in batches.
Layered protection
A single filter won't save you. What works is a chain: entry verification → link and forward filter → anti-flood → semantic analysis of suspicious messages. Each layer stops its own type of threat.
Basic settings
Block forwards and links for new members during their first hours. Limit message frequency. Enable a captcha/verification so bots don't get past the entrance.
Automation
Manual moderation doesn't scale. Mod Assistant Bot verifies newcomers, removes messages with links, catches flood and suspicious patterns automatically — leaving only edge cases for moderators. It saves hours and keeps the chat clean 24/7.
