Smart link moderation (1.3.0)

Links are both useful and the main source of spam in chats. In this update we made link moderation truly flexible: you decide who can send which links.

Instead of a blunt "ban everyone", there are now conditions. To send a link, a member can first: join the group, subscribe to your channel or invite friends. This not only protects against random advertisers but turns the right to post a link into a growth tool — people subscribe and bring in new members.

Now you can filter by a member's attributes — for example, allow links only from those who have a @username or photo (spam bots usually don't). And the links themselves are filtered by category, so you separate the useful from the unwanted without banning everything.

Black and white lists

Full control: add domains and members to a blacklist to block, or to a whitelist to always allow. And deletion notifications can be set up however suits you: quietly clean the chat or warn the offender.

Takeaway

Link moderation is no longer a choice between "chaos" and "everything banned". Flexible conditions, filters and lists give you a clean chat without losing convenience for normal people. Details are in the changelog.
